The skull of Brachiosaurus was relatively small compared to its massive body, measuring just over 2 feet (about 60 cm) in length. It was lightweight and adapted for browsing high vegetation, with nostrils positioned on top of the head near a large nasal arch, a feature once thought to indicate a possible trunk or aquatic lifestyle, though this has been debunked. Its teeth were spoon-shaped and well-suited for stripping leaves from tall trees, matching its long neck and upright posture. Unlike many other sauropods, Brachiosaurus held its head high, giving it access to foliage that few other dinosaurs could reach.
